I began Zumba Dance class in November of 2010. It is very much like aerobics with a latin twist.
I like the latin music and it is a very good cardio work out. Gets the cob webs out. At 50 I am now in the back row with the other midlife cruizers, not long ago I used to be one of the young ones in the front row.
I can see the level of intensity is definitely low impact in the back row. Gotta give us kudos for being there and staying in motion for 1 hour. I have 2 days to recuperate then I kick up my heels again. It really is fun if you like to dance - even if it is line dancing.
I have noticed increased energy level, better attitude (still have attitude) and my clothes are fitting better.
